Harry Leefe
Harry Leefe is a retired International Civil Servant and Humanitarian Professional. Working at UNHCR between 1993 and 2018, Harry built up decades of experience in emergency refugee and natural disaster response, emergency logistics, military liaison, peace building and reconstruction, as well as refugee repatriation and the closure of IDP camps. He held a number of leadership roles at UNHCR and finished his career as Global Staff Accommodation Manager.

Harry is the President of The Somali Ecological Society, as well as an Executive in Residence (Global Fellowship Initiative) at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy. His career has seen him work in many countries in the Balkans, Asia and Africa. Notably, Harry was responsible for UNHCR emergency logistics and airlift response operations for Rwanda (1994), Liberia (1995), Sierra Leone (1997), Kosovo (1999), Somalia (2005) and Lebanon (2006). He holds an MSc and is a Fellow Chartered Institute of Transport & Logistics.
