Kayode Fagbemi
Based in Nigeria, Kayode Fagbemi is an Independent Consultant with over 25 years of experience working with national and international organizations to build robust infrastructure for disaster risk reduction, climate change resilience, disaster management and humanitarian coordination. An expert in strategic planning, program development and organisational growth, Kayode excels at building coalitions of local, national and international leaders to deliver concrete change.
Previously, Kayode worked – for over a decade – for the National Emergency Management Agency in Nigeria, including as Director of Planning, Research and Forecasting, and Relief and Rehabilitation. He has also worked with various UN agencies and international organisations, including UNICEF and ECOWAS. Kayode is a Fellow and 1st Vice President of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Risk Management Institute, a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants and a member of the International Association of Emergency Managers. He holds a Masters of Science in Disaster Risk Management, as well as a Master of Technology in Remote Sensing Application.
