Hesed World Completes Registration in Malawi to Strengthen Youth Empowerment
PRESS RELEASE

Geneva, 1 October 2026 – Hesed World announces the completion of its registration process in Malawi, marking an important step towards strengthening its work with young people through mentorship, leadership development, skills and access to opportunities.
Operating publicly as Hesed World Malawi, the organization's legal entity, Hesed World Association Limited, was incorporated in Malawi as a private company limited by guarantee on 8 May 2026. NGO registration was subsequently granted on 16 July 2026 under reference NGO/1/26/014, followed by registration with the Council for Non-Governmental Organizations in Malawi (CONGOMA) on 29 August 2026.
These milestones provide a stronger institutional foundation for local coordination, partnership development and programme delivery in Malawi.
Hesed World focuses on young people aged 18–30, connecting them with experienced professionals, practical learning and networks that can support their education, employment, entrepreneurship and leadership journeys. Malawi is one of its three pilot countries, alongside Kenya and Nigeria.

“This milestone reflects the dedication of our Malawi team and everyone who has supported the registration process,” said Princess Kiki Rebecca Lawal, Founder and President of Hesed World. “Our priority is to translate this foundation into practical opportunities for young people, listening to their aspirations and working with partners to help them develop confidence, skills and pathways towards a more secure future.”

“Registration is an important step in building a strong local foundation for Hesed World’s work in Malawi. We look forward to working with young people and partners to shape practical opportunities for learning, mentorship and skills development,” said Patrick Chakholoma, Board Member of Hesed World Malawi.
Hesed World acknowledges the commitment of its Malawi Board of Directors, Patrick Chakholoma, Nolliettie Chihana and Dr Fulata L. Moyo, and the country team in supporting this milestone and the organisation’s development in Malawi.
Young people in Malawi have already participated in Hesed World’s research, youth community and learning activities. In 2025, community discussions in Ntchisi and Dowa contributed to the organisation’s understanding of young people’s mentorship and skills development needs. Malawi also participated in the June 2026 Career Positioning Cohort, which brought together young people from across the pilot countries for guidance on self-awareness, career planning and accessing opportunities.
The next phase will focus on strengthening the Malawi youth community, developing local partnerships and advancing focused programme activities as resources become available. Youth participation and feedback will help shape delivery, alongside clear monitoring and accountability.
Hesed World welcomes discussions with organisations, educational institutions, businesses, experienced professionals and supporters interested in contributing expertise, mentorship, learning opportunities or resources to its work in Malawi.
