Majeed Zulqarnain
Zulqarnain Majeed leads Hesed World’s Strategic Planning, bringing with him more than 20 years of expertise in strategy, research, data analysis and monitoring and reporting. Previously, Majeed was Green Climate Fund’s Sector Guide Management Advisor, in charge of information collection, analysis and reporting of climate change mitigation and adaption initiatives around the world. He also worked for UNDRR for more than ten years, supervising data collection on disaster risk reduction programmes and projects. Notably, Majeed played a central role in the development and implementation of UNDRR’s Planning Framework. He has extensive experience in coordinating complex projects across multiple countries and continents.
In Pakistan, Majeed has also been involved in child labor, education, non-formal education, migration, disaster rehabilitation, IDP, literacy and youth development programs, working with both states and UNESCO.​ Majeed is a member of the Advisory Council for the Implementation of Non-Formal and Adult Literacy Council in Punjab and Khyber and Pakhtunkhwa provinces. In addition, Majeed is a member of Gender and Equity Network South Asia, a Special Interest Group of the Community of Evaluators South Asia. He also advises Creche Consultants (Pakistan) on Strategic Planning and M&E. Creche Consultants is a major research and consultancy organization involved in research and development of areas like Micro-Finance, Education, Adult Literacy, Youth Development, Gender, Human Rights, Climate Change, Family Planning & Reproductive Health.
