Hesed World Association is a non-profit founded in 2024 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
We use the powerful tool of mentorship to drive positive change in the lives of young changemakers in developing countries.
At Hesed World, we believe that young people are the key to building more prosperous, secure and vibrant societies. Yet, we are also aware that many young people — particularly in developing countries — face a host of barriers in accessing quality education, rewarding work and meaningful training. ​​
There are more than 1.5 billion people ages 18-30 years old, with the majority in developing countries. ​
1 in 5 young people are not in employment, education or training (NEET).
1 in 4 young people cannot find jobs paying more than $1.25 per day.
"In today's world, too many young people in developing countries are left unable to create positive and lasting change in their lives and communities. Increasing numbers of them are forced to leave their families and communities to seek employment. At Hesed World, we want to change that." ​
Our Mission.
We are on a mission to equip young changemakers in developing countries to drive sustainable development and positive change in their own communities.

We aim to achieve this by taking a holistic approach to youth empowerment. At the centre of this approach lies our intergenerational mentorship program. We connect emerging leaders, aged 18-30, with seasoned sustainable development professionals to catalyse concrete and lasting impact in our target communities.
We believe this combination — the innovative dynamism of young changemakers, and the mentorship, wisdom and experience of senior professionals — will create a powerful synergy, one that catalyses sustainable development.

Our Vision.
Our vision is clear. We want to live in a world where young people in developing countries have equal access to economic opportunity. We want young people to thrive — living healthy and happy lives, and actively contributing to nations that are more resilient, stable and secure.

'Hesed' means compassion, kindness and a deep sense of responsibility to others. Our name thus embodies how we plan to achieve our vision — by working together and nurturing lasting and impactful collaboration between generations and cultures.
