Hesed World Registers in Kenya to Open New Pathways for Young People
PRESS RELEASE

Geneva, 31 October 2026 – Hesed World announces the completion of its registration process in Kenya, marking an important step towards strengthening its work with young people through mentorship, leadership development, skills and access to opportunities.
Operating publicly as Hesed World Kenya, the organisation was registered as Hesed World Association Kenya on 16 October 2026 by the Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority (PBORA) as an International Public Benefit Organization, under registration number PBO/2026/IL-VWUB6G6.
This milestone provides a stronger institutional foundation for local coordination, partnership development and programme delivery in Kenya.
Hesed World focuses on young people aged 18–30, connecting them with experienced professionals, practical learning and networks that can support their education, employment, entrepreneurship and leadership journeys. Kenya is one of its three pilot countries, alongside Malawi and Nigeria.

“This milestone reflects the dedication of our Kenya team and everyone who has supported the registration process,” said Princess Kiki Rebecca Lawal, Founder and President of Hesed World. “Our priority is to translate this foundation into practical opportunities for young people, listening to their aspirations and working with partners to help them develop confidence, skills and pathways towards a more secure future.”

“The registration of Hesed World in Kenya marks a transformative milestone — not only for our organization, but for the future of Kenyan youth,” said Professor Patrick Maluki, Board Member of Hesed World Kenya. “For young people, this is more than a registration; it is the opening of a gateway. Hesed World Kenya now provides a structured, credible platform where youth can access intentional mentorship, practical leadership development, international exposure, and a powerful global network designed to unlock and expand their potential. We are creating pathways from potential to opportunity, and from opportunity to impact.”
“For Hesed World, our registration in Kenya signifies institutional growth, legal recognition, and enhanced credibility. It strengthens our capacity to forge strategic partnerships with government, private sector, academia, and international organizations, and positions us to deliver sustainable, youth-centred programs with measurable impact across the country.”
“At the core of our work is a firm belief: young people are not merely beneficiaries of development — they are architects and drivers of change. Through Hesed World Kenya, we are committed to nurturing a generation of informed, innovative, ethical, and globally connected leaders who will shape Kenya’s development narrative and contribute meaningfully to the global agenda. The future is not something we wait for; it is something we build together.”
Hesed World acknowledges the commitment of its Kenya Board of Directors, Maryanne Kimari, Professor Patrick Maluki, Ndwiga Kamwangi and Mary Kabocha, and the Kenya team, including Kenya Focal Point Naomi Chepkemoi, in supporting this milestone and the organisation’s development in Kenya.
Hesed World has been working with young people and communities in Kenya since 2024. On 29 June 2024, it joined the Poverty Eradication Community Empowerment (PEACE) programme on a visit to Ivuuni Primary School in Kitui County, where it donated essential supplies, including shoes and sanitary pads, and took part in interactive lessons and motivational talks with students.
In November 2025, Hesed World partnered with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) on its 2025 Debate and Public Speaking Tournament. Held at the JKUAT Main Campus in Juja on 1–2 November 2025 under the theme “Technology and Geopolitics”, the tournament brought together university students from across Kenya. Hesed World supported participants through branded learning materials and engagement sessions on mentorship and leadership.
Young people in Kenya also took part in the June 2026 Career Positioning Cohort, which brought together young people from across the pilot countries for guidance on self-awareness, career planning and accessing opportunities.
The next phase will focus on strengthening the Kenya youth community, developing local partnerships and advancing focused programme activities as resources become available. Youth participation and feedback will help shape delivery, alongside clear monitoring and accountability.
Hesed World welcomes discussions with organisations, educational institutions, businesses, experienced professionals and supporters interested in contributing expertise, mentorship, learning opportunities or resources to its work in Kenya.
